Memo Details Coordinated Push to Undermine Nevada’s 2026 Elections

NEVADA - Today, Battle Born Progress releases its 2026 Memo to Nevada Press Corps. This memo provides information and evidence on attempts to interfere with Nevada elections, court cases brought by Trump and Republicans, debunked claims of noncitizen voting, and guidance for the press as they cover the 2026 Election amid this coordinated campaign to meddle in our elections.

Shelbie Swartz, Executive Director of Battle Born Progress, issued the following statement:

“Throughout 2024, we witnessed repeated attempts by bad actors to undermine our elections by sowing doubt, fear, and distrust. These efforts were challenged in court, where Trump and his Republican cronies repeatedly lost. Now, as we approach the 2026 election, we are seeing similar dangerous tactics resurface. Trump and the Department of Justice have targeted our Secretary of State with baseless claims that noncitizens are on our voter rolls. These claims were quickly proven false. The DOJ then threatened prosecution unless the state complies with the federal government's demands. Governor Lombardo’s silence in the face of these threats is unacceptable and makes him complicit in efforts to undermine public confidence in our elections. Nevada elections are safe, secure, and backed by evidence.”
