Demonstrators Take to the Streets in Protest of Governor Lombardo

LAS VEGAS, NV - Tonight, community members and advocates gathered outside the Fontainebleau Las Vegas to protest as Governor Lombardo attended IndyTalks. Demonstrators voiced frustration over Lombardo’s close relationship with President Trump and criticized Lombardo’s insufficient action to address Nevada’s rising cost of living. Additionally, Battle Born Progress purchased a mobile billboard that drove around the protest location, with language stating, "Joe Lombardo Doesn't Stand For Nevadans." Manuel Santamaria, Campaigns Director with Battle Born Progress, issued the following statement:

“Tonight, our community came together to send a clear message to Joe Lombardo: you were elected to represent all Nevadans — not just the MAGA base aligned with Donald Trump.

As families across our state struggle to afford groceries, health care, and housing, Governor Lombardo has continued to align himself with an agenda that has driven up costs and put more pressure on working people.

Nevada’s working families should not be the ones paying the price — whether through rising everyday expenses or policies that prioritize the wealthy over everyone else. At a time when leadership matters most, Governor Lombardo has failed to stand up for everyday Nevadans, choosing instead to follow the whims of Donald Trump over the needs of the people he serves.”
